BWC Has had a successful 2019 hosting a total of five powerlifting competitions. We started off the competing year in March with our annual charity shield competition which attracted numerous lifters, all wanting their name on the prestigious shield, although the main aim was to raise money for Oxford Air Ambulance.

Three more competitions were held during the summer to keep our lifters in shape and of course focused. We ended the competing year in november with our annual Mark Howard Memorial shield competition, our second charity comp of the year. Again this was well attended and although winning is the game, BWC prides itself on inclusion and encouragement no matter what the level, age or weight of a lifter and of course having fun. £160.00 was raised in march for Oxford air Ambulance and £100.00 raised in November for the Samaritans with the club having links to both charities.BWC Will be hosting the competitions again in 2020 and also competing in the British Drug Fee Powerlifting Federation. Not all our members compete so we try to create a gym for all types of lifter. For Membership or for information please look at our facebook site or contact me on 07919923064.
